Create an unforgettable summer memory and spend the night in the Haihatus Sculpture Park!
The tent night includes a tent, sleeping bags, and sleeping mats for two people.

Price includes tent and accommodation for 1–2 people.
One additional guest (child) possible: +€10.

Check-in: 17:00–18:00 (during this time you can also purchase barbecue items from the café)
Check-out / return of equipment: 10:00–11:00

Campers may also use Fantasia between 10:00–11:00, which is also the time for returning any borrowed camping equipment.

Facilities available for all campers:

  • Outdoor toilet, shower, and smoke sauna (bookable separately)

  • Summer kitchen with shared fridge, kettle, basic cooking and grilling equipment, gas grill with stove plate

  • Fire pit and yard games

Camping is allowed anywhere in the sculpture park and courtyard area.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

Please note:

  • No waste disposal available for caravans

  • Only one night at a time; camp must be cleared by 10:00 the following morning

  • Rental items can only be returned between 10:00–11:00 the next morning

  • No laundry facilities available

  • Indoor toilets not available at night (outdoor toilet available)

  • Smoking only in the designated area (by the fire pit)

  • Rental sleeping bags must be used with a sheet (included)

  • No 24-hour staff or supervision — self-service camping

  • The house cat roams freely in the courtyard

  • Quiet hours 23:00–08:00

  • Camping not available Sunday–Tuesday nights

  • Sauna sessions can be booked at the reception during exhibition hours or online at shop.haihatus.fi. Firewood is collected from the reception during opening hours.

Haihatus (destination: Joutsa) is easy to reach, for example by Onnibus. The Onnibus stop is located about 1.7 km walking distance from Haihatus. Kita Gallery is right next to the bus stop, beside Café-Restaurant Huttula.
Driving instructions
Haihatus is located in Joutsa’s village center, in the Koiravuori area, at Jousitie 68–70. From Highway 4 (E75), follow the brown tourist signs with the traditional Finnish “hannunvaakuna” symbol to reach the destination.
If you are arriving from the south, it’s best to drive past the main Joutsa junction and turn right only at Pertunmaantie, then follow the signs. Parking is available in the middle of the area.

KITA Gallery is situated right next to Highway 4, in the lower yard of Restaurant Huttula, at Tokerontie 11. Parking is available in front of Huttula, from where a signposted walking path leads directly to the exhibition house.

The distance between KITA Gallery and Haihatus is about two kilometers.

Valklammi Boardwalk (nature) Trail

Valklammi Boardwalk Trail: A Few Hours in “Little Lapland” Head to the Valklammi boardwalk trail along Kangasniementie! The scenery is stunning, and locals affectionately call the area “Little Lapland.” The trail is 4 km long, including about 1.5 km of boardwalks, and it also passes along a ridge surrounded by bogland. Trailhead / Starting point: The trail begins at the edge of the old sports field in Joutsa (turn onto the road leading to the field from Kangasniementie 25). An information board is located at the trailhead.
Myllykoski Nature Reserve

The Myllykoski Nature Reserve offers a soothing nature experience right next to Joutsa village center. The area features multiple streams with bridges crossing them, and boardwalks passing through the wetlands. The trail begins next to the old red mill building. Myllykoski is also a great spot for birdwatching — the rapids and Myllynlahti remain unfrozen year-round. A birdwatching tower is located nearby. In the summer of 2024, starting July 1st, Myllykoski will host a two-week “Wellbeing Trail” for all ages. The trail mostly follows traditional paths and features stations attached to trees and railings with exercises and questions related to wellbeing. The purpose of the trail is to encourage visitors to pause, enjoy the beautiful nature of Myllykoski, and gather tips for enhancing personal wellbeing. Address: Myllytie 40, 19650 Joutsa
